How ironic, David, that you have censored a comment of mine already up and out there - and an inncouous comment at that - suddenly going to "comment moderation", in a post that celebrates the values of the French Revolution. I guess you'll have to take this as an email, as it's unlikely to see the light of day - nor would I want it to were you reinstate my first comment.
I have now introduced comment moderation.
Unless I am much mistaken, both songs are in the same key. The film's producers decided not to be too raucous. If you really want to mess up your opponents you choose a different key and a different rhythm.
You could, of course, wander through YouTube, clicking a few buttons tillyoufind France's best kept secret, Mireille Matthieu, singing 'C'est si bon' with our own Petula Clarke. If that doesn't destroy your sanctification, nothing will.
