Methodism's gambling debate makes The Guardian

The Guardian kindly printed a letter this morning about Methodism's spectacular and disastorous embrace of "responsible gambling". It is on Page 33 or here online.

I know that some doubt the extent of the British Methodist Church's involvement with the gambling "industry".

I gather that a meeting of the Faith and Order Committee is due to take place in the next few days. Perhaps they should look at this dossier of disaster, hang their head in shame, and get our gambling policy sorted out to something a little more principled. But they no doubt have other priorities, like editing members blogs!
